BondSnap – Terms of Service and Privacy Policy

1. Introduction
Welcome to BondSnap (“we,” “us,” or “our”). BondSnap is a mobile app that helps users create photographic condition reports for rental properties, vehicles, and short-term stays. By using BondSnap, you agree to these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.
2. Use of the App
- You must be at least 16 years old to use BondSnap.
- You may use the app only for lawful purposes related to documenting property or asset condition.
- You agree not to misuse the app, attempt to access other users’ data, or reverse-engineer the software.
- Reports, images, and notes you create are your responsibility. Ensure you have permission to photograph any property or item.
3. Accounts and Access
- You can use BondSnap as a guest or by creating an account using email login.
- You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials.
- We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms or applicable laws.
4. Premium Features and Payments
- BondSnap offers optional premium plans to unlock unlimited reports, advanced export formats, and cloud backup.
- Payments are processed through Apple’s App Store or Google Play Billing.
- All purchases are subject to their respective store’s terms and refund policies.
5. Data Storage and Backups
- Reports and images are stored either locally on your device or securely in the cloud (via Firebase) when logged in.
- We take reasonable steps to protect your data from unauthorized access or loss, but we cannot guarantee absolute security.
- You are encouraged to export and back up your reports periodically.
6. Privacy Policy
6.1 Information We Collect
- Account Information: Email address (if you sign up).
- Report Data: Photos, notes, and PDF exports you create.
- Location Data: Collected only when capturing photos or using the address autofill feature, to geotag images and assist with property address entry.
- Device Data: Non-personal diagnostic or usage logs to improve app performance.
6.2 How We Use Your Data
- Generate and store your condition reports.
- Provide location-based tagging and address autofill.
- Sync and back up data to your account.
- Improve app performance and fix bugs.
We do not sell or share your data with advertisers or third parties.
6.3 Data Retention
- Data is stored until you delete your account or remove reports manually.
- Guest data may be cleared automatically if you uninstall the app.
- You can request deletion of your account and associated data by emailing support@bondsnap.app.
6.4 Data Sharing
We use trusted third-party services to operate BondSnap:
- Firebase for secure storage and authentication.
- RevenueCat for managing in-app purchases and subscriptions.
These services comply with GDPR and other privacy standards.
6.5 Permissions
The app may request access to:
- Camera (to capture photos for reports)
- Location (to geotag photos and assist with address autofill)
- Storage (to save photos and exported reports)
Permissions are used strictly for their intended purposes.
7. Security
We use encryption, secure authentication, and limited data access to protect your information. However, no system is 100% secure. You acknowledge that you use the app at your own risk.
